we just received a new shipment of turkish towels...

we love these towels at take heart.

they are handwoven in turkey, compact, absorbent, quick drying and cute.

we have a wonderful selection of colors in full size and hand towel size.

these towels are really versatile. great for barton springs, the bathroom, a wrap, a throw, a tablecloth...

WE ARE WHAT WE DO is printed on the inside of a bag i have. i have used this bag for a long time, but just recently noticed this line.

i have been thinking about it a lot lately.

i have made my list. if i am what i do, i want to do good.

my list is pretty long, here is a taste:

*send cards to friends and family
*take baths
*listen to my instincts

MCMC fragrances...

after much hunting for the right perfume for take heart i found MCMC fragrances.

MCMC is a small company founded in 2009 by Anne McClain, dedicated to creating original perfumes made with the highest quality ingredients.

MCMC is based in Brooklyn and all the fragrances are carefully crafted in small batches and bottled by hand in Anne's studio.

the core of MCMC is its Stories Collection. this collection embraces Anne's belief that memories can be translated into scent. each fragrance in the collection is inspired by an actual event or experience.

i love this concept. take heart is now carrying three of MCMC scents:

PHOENIX
LOVE

all three are lovely scents, perfect for summer. they just make me feel good smelling them.

fragment necklaces...

we just received a beautiful selection of wood and brass fragment necklaces.

the necklaces are handmade in illinois, all are one of a kind.

the solid wood necklaces are made of mahogany with a brass detail. the striped fragments are made of walnut, mahogany and cedar with brass detail.

i love the organic and special detail of these necklaces.
