gratitude...

when i am stressed out or focusing on something that is frustrating me, the thing that helps me most is focusing on gratitude. this is always a reminder of all i have to be thankful for, it usually far outweighs whatever may be bothering me.

so, its hot.
i have really been frustrated with the heat over the past few days, so i decided to make a gratitude list about the things i am thankful for in austin.

the first thing that came to mind was:

1. barton springs

what a rare and beautiful place those of us who live in austin get to go any day of the week. for me this is the one thing that can really cool me down in summer. i love the calm community feel, especially after 9 pm. people have been enjoying the springs for decades. i love the old photos, they remind me that some good things about people and places don't change.

we are happy to now be carrying keith kreeger's pottery at take heart. i love the clean lines and beautiful simplicity.

what i love about keith and his work:

keith is a local potter.
keith is originally from my neck of the woods. he is from cape cod, i am from connecticut.
keith is a genuinely nice guy.

i am glad our paths crossed...

new batch of tokyo factory soap...

i am very excited that the website is up and the blog is ready for action. im looking forward to sharing finds, ideas, images, and updates on new products at take heart.

we have been open almost one month now and i want to thank all of our friends, family, and take heart customers for your support and positivity!

we will be gradually getting new and interesting items in. some items have been a hit so far, including the tokyo factory soap.

i love tokyo factory soap. the scents are wonderful and unique and the soap is vegan.

we just got a new batch. ayu makes these soaps in small batches and they are very special.

we have three new lovely flavors and the size is bigger than before..
